David received his M.M. in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University , where he studied with jazz piano legend Kenny Barron. Professor Barron personally chose David to be his Teaching Assistant and to lead a jazz quintet representing the University's outreach program. David has performed with legendary jazz artists Bobby Watson, Mickey Roker, Marty Morrell, and Brad Terry as well as critically acclaimed vocalists Mark Winkler, Laurie Antonioli, Andrea Wolper, and Sally Mayes.
